Monastery of St. John
The monastery was established by Osios Christodoulos after the donation of Alexios Komnenos I in 1088.

Cave of the Apocalypse
St. John dictated here to his disciple Prohorus the Book of the Apocalypse, or Revelation, the last book of the Bible.

Windmills
The windmills belong to the Monastery and were build in the 16th century to grind wheat or corn and produce flour.

Town of Chora
Chora is the capital of Patmos built around the imposing Monastery of St. John in the 12th century.

Nunnery of Evangelismos
The convent was founded in the year 1937 from the Monk Amfilochios Makris.
